The Chapel of Hope, New Life Ministries and Otterbein Global Methodist churches joined together to present a float on December 6 at Russell's annual lighted Christmas parade. The theme for the parade was Christmas at the Movies. Our group chose The Navtivity Story. the 12' trailer had bales of straw with the Holy Family and a shepherd, complete with multicolored lights, flashing star, and congregants singing Christmas carols.  The Nativity story was shared from the Gospel of Luke, Chapter 2. Some participants threw candy tot he waiting parade goers.

Earlier that same day was Weihnachtfest in downtown Russell. The Chapel of Hope secured an indoor space near 8th and Main and served chicken noodle soup and bean soup, with cornbread muffins to those who cam by. In addition tot he soup, flyers were given to many about the Chapel of Hope, including information about our location, service times and Pastor.
